Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Effective date: 24 August 2026
Incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service
Important
This AUP applies to all users of the Service. Violations may result in suspension or immediate termination without refund and, where appropriate, reporting to relevant authorities.
Purpose
This AUP defines permitted and prohibited uses of the Botvee platform. It protects the platform's integrity, ensures fair access, and supports compliance with Pakistani law, EU law, and other applicable regulations. By using the Service you agree to this AUP.
Permitted Uses
The Service is intended for legitimate business automation, including: creating AI agents for customer support, lead capture, booking, and business automation for lawful businesses; deploying agents on your own websites, applications, or business channels; training agents on business content you have lawfully obtained the right to use; collecting lead information from individuals who have been given the required notice and, where applicable, have consented; connecting lawful third-party integrations; and using Botvee APIs for legitimate business development.
Prohibited Uses
3.1 Illegal activity
Any use violating applicable law in Pakistan, the EU, the UK, or your jurisdiction; money laundering or terrorist financing; breaching sanctions or export-control laws; or PECA 2016 offences (unauthorised access, cyberstalking, electronic fraud).
3.2 Fraud and deception
Agents that deceptively impersonate real people, businesses, government agencies, or financial institutions; phishing or collecting sensitive information (passwords, financial credentials, OTPs) through deceptive flows; scams or pyramid/Ponzi schemes; or disinformation or intentionally false information (including in violation of PECA 2016, s. 26A).
3.3 Harmful content
Content that promotes, incites, or facilitates violence, terrorism, hate speech, or discrimination on protected characteristics; any content that sexualises, endangers, or exploits minors, including CSAM — a serious criminal offence; content facilitating self-harm or suicide; or harassment, bullying, or stalking.
3.4 Privacy and data violations
Collecting End-User personal data without a lawful basis, required notice, or consent; processing special-category data without a valid basis and safeguards; collecting children's data in violation of applicable law; or sharing, selling, or unlawfully disclosing personal data collected through the Service.
3.5 Platform abuse and technical violations
Attempting unauthorised access to Botvee systems, other users' accounts, or connected systems; reverse-engineering or extracting source code; automated attacks (DDoS, brute force, API flooding, injection); uploading malware; circumventing rate limits, usage limits, or subscription controls; or systematic scraping without written permission.
3.6 Intellectual property
Uploading or using content without the necessary rights; training agents on content scraped in violation of a source's terms; or infringing others' IP rights.
3.7 Professional advice without safeguards
Agents providing medical, legal, or financial advice without appropriate qualified oversight, disclaimers, and any required authorisation.
3.8 Spam and unsolicited communications
Unsolicited bulk messages; harvesting contact details for unsolicited marketing without consent; or violating anti-spam laws (EU ePrivacy Directive, CAN-SPAM, CASL, and Pakistani law).
AI-Specific Obligations
- You must disclose to your End-Users that they are interacting with an automated AI system where required by law, including the EU AI Act, UK AI-regulation guidance, and California's Bolstering Online Transparency Act (SB-1001, the "B.O.T. Act"). This applies even if you remove Botvee branding.
- You must not create AI systems deceptively designed to make people believe they are speaking with a human where disclosure is required.
- You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of your agent's responses and knowledge base, and for any actions your agent takes on End-Users' behalf.
- You must not train agents on data obtained unlawfully or in violation of Data Subjects' rights.
Channel and Integration Compliance
Where you enable a channel or integration, you must comply with that platform's own policies, including:
- Meta platforms — the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy, Instagram, and Messenger platform terms, including opt-in, template, and anti-spam rules. Violations can restrict your (and potentially Botvee's) access to these platforms.
- Telegram — its terms and anti-spam rules.
- Google, Shopify, WordPress, and courier providers — their respective terms.
You are responsible for maintaining any required registrations, sender approvals, and consents on these platforms.
Pakistani Law Compliance
Users in Pakistan, or targeting users in Pakistan, must additionally comply with: PECA 2016 (including s. 26A); the ETO 2002; the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and applicable provincial legislation; the Competition Act, 2010; FBR digital-invoicing requirements where applicable; and State Bank of Pakistan regulations where agents facilitate financial transactions.
Enforcement
7.1 Consequences

| Moderate | Repeated minor violations; spam; data misuse | Account suspension pending investigation |

Botvee will apply enforcement reasonably and proportionately, save where immediate action is necessary (for example, CSAM, serious illegality, or an active security threat).
