What You Will Learn

  • What bot training means in Botvee
  • How chatbots learn from data
  • Different training sources you can use
  • How to add training content to your bot
  • Best practices for improving chatbot responses

Step 1: Open Your Bot Settings

Log in to your Botvee dashboard and open the Bots section. Select the chatbot you want to train to open the bot management panel.

Step 2: Access the Training Section

Inside the bot management panel, locate the Training or Knowledge Base section. This is where you add the information that your chatbot will use to answer questions.

Step 3: Choose a Training Source

Botvee allows you to train your chatbot using multiple sources:

  • Website Data — Provide a website URL and Botvee extracts the content automatically
  • Documents — Upload PDF, DOC, or DOCX files
  • Text Content — Manually add FAQs, product descriptions, or support instructions

Step 4: Add Your Training Content

Upload documents, enter website URLs, or paste text content into the training section. Once added, Botvee processes the data and converts it into knowledge the chatbot can use.

Step 5: Train and Process the Data

After adding content, Botvee will process the training data — scanning website content, analyzing documents, and structuring text data. Once processing is complete, the chatbot will start using this information to answer questions.

Step 6: Test the Chatbot

After training is completed, test the chatbot inside the Botvee dashboard. Try asking questions related to your training content such as product information, support questions, or service details.

Troubleshooting

Bot is giving incorrect answers — Review your training content and make sure the information is clear and accurate. Bot does not recognize certain questions — Add more related content to the training data. Website training not working — Ensure the URL is accessible and contains readable content.
