AI Agents

An AI agent is the assistant that talks to your customers. You create it, teach it about your business, and connect it to your website and other channels. Everything else in Botvee — knowledge, settings, channels, chats and leads — belongs to an agent, so this is the first thing you set up.

Before you start

• Your website address — Optional, but it lets the agent learn your pages straight away
• Your business category and tone — For example an online clothing store with a friendly tone
• A free agent slot — Free, Starter and Starter Plus allow 1 agent; Growth allows 3; Pro allows 5

How to set it up

   Open My AI Agents

   Click My AI Agents in the side menu. Each agent you own shows as a card

   Click “Create agent”

   Choose a template for your type of business, or “Start from Scratch”. A template fills in sensible instructions for you

   Fill in the form

   Enter AI Agent Name (shown to customers), Website URL (optional), Business Category, AI Agent Tone and System Prompt. The system prompt is the agent’s instructions, written in plain words, for example “Always mention free delivery over Rs 3,000”

   Click “Next Step”

   Pick the website pages and files it should learn. Tick only pages with real information; menus and login pages add nothing

   Click “Create & Train AI Agent”

   Training starts on its own. The card shows the agent as soon as it is created

What happens next

The agent answers from your own content, not from guesses. It looks for the parts of your pages and files that match the question, then writes a short answer in your chosen tone. When it cannot help, it offers a support ticket or a person from your team instead of making something up.

What you can do with it

Open the menu on an agent’s card in My AI Agents:

• View Conversations — See every chat this agent has had
• Manage Users — Choose which team members can work on its chats
• Assign Knowledge — Choose the pages and files it learns from
• Train AI Agent — Teach it again after you change your website or files
• Edit AI Agent — Change its name, tone or instructions. “Generate with AI” writes the instructions for you (10 credits)
• Test AI Agent — Opens the Playground with this agent
• Deactivate — Stops it answering without deleting anything
• Delete AI Agent — Removes it

Good to know

• Training your first AI agent is free. Training any other agent uses 1 credit per 3,000 characters
• Each AI reply uses 10 credits, on every channel and in the Playground
• Free, Starter and Starter Plus allow 1 agent; Growth allows 3; Pro allows 5. Extra agents can be added in Dashboard → Billing → Add-ons
• Each agent has its own settings, knowledge and channels. One WhatsApp number or one website belongs to one agent

Troubleshooting

• “Create agent” is not available — You have reached your plan’s agent limit. Delete one, add an extra agent, or move up a plan
• Answers are wrong or vague — The agent is missing information or has old pages. See Knowledge Base
• The agent does not reply anywhere — Check it is not deactivated, and check your credits in Dashboard → Billing → Usage
