Widget Customization

Customization changes how the chat window looks on your website, so it matches your brand. You can change colours, the welcome message, the home screen and the logo, and see every change in a live preview before you save. There is no code to change.

Before you start

• An AI agent — Each agent has its own look
• Your brand colour — As a colour code, for example #003EFF
• Your logo — A square image works best

How to set it up

   Open Dashboard → Customization

   In the side menu, under AI Agent

   Pick the AI agent

   Choose the agent whose chat window you want to change

   Change what you like

   Colours, welcome message, home screen and logo. The Live preview beside the settings updates as you type, so you see exactly what visitors will see

   Click “Save changes”

   Your website updates. There is no code to change

What you can do with it

• Primary colors — Your main colour and the chat button colour
• Message bubble colors — Separate colours for AI agent, customer and team member messages, so customers can tell who is talking
• Layout & backgrounds, Text & labels, Borders & action buttons — Fine control over every part of the window
• Welcome message — The first thing visitors read, up to 200 characters
• Home screen — Open on a home screen with suggested questions and links, so visitors know what to ask
• AI agent logo — Upload your logo

What happens next

Saved changes appear on every website where this agent is installed, the next time a visitor loads a page. Which buttons show in the chat menu (Talk to a person, Report a problem, Give feedback, End chat) is decided by Agent Settings, not here.

Good to know

• Removing “Powered by Botvee” needs the Pro plan. Switch it off in Agent Settings with “Remove BotVee Branding”
• “Reset all” puts every colour back to the default
• Check your colours on a phone — most visitors use one
